I was born in Reno, Nevada, and have lived there my whole life. However, my family is from Oaxaca, Mexico, more specifically from a small town called Teococuilco. I usually go visit when they have big festivals and events so that I have a higher chance of seeing my entire family, as some of them have moved to other towns and areas due to their jobs and education.
Now, for my education, I recently graduated from high school and started working towards my college degree at the University of Nevada, Reno. I decided to attend college because I hope to get a bachelor’s in Accounting, and then start the process of becoming a CPA. Right now, I work at a local cleaning company called Ofes Detail Cleaning. During the week, I contact clients and help clean Airbnb’s and business establishments. On weekends, I put down how many hours each worker has, calculate their pay, and calculate how much profit was made that week. It’s a great job as I learned how to communicate with other workers, and I have also learned how to keep track of expenses and organize important events.
In my free time, I like to make things out of clay. I have made plates, coasters, and containers. While I’m not a pro, I find it very relaxing and pretty fun. Some other things I do are crochet and sew, and if I have time, I play games with my friends and watch shows together.
I think a big goal of mine is to visit as many countries as possible. I want to learn about other people’s cultures and understand the history of places. Along with this, I want to learn other languages and see how they differ from languages that I might speak. While I haven’t visited many places, I hope to one day be able to accomplish this and see what our world looks like.
